French Fusil Fin / Chief's Trade Gun

The French Fusil Fin (Fine Gun) was built at a higher quality than other trade guns. The Fusil Fin was used as a gift for Indian Chiefs to gain trust and friendship with Native Americans.

This re-creation is stocked in beautiful Black Walnut with a hand-rubbed oil finish. It has a 44” 20 gauge/.62 caliber smoothbore barrel. The octagon-to-round barrel, as well as the lock, has a “French Gray” finish. The barrel has a low brass front site and no rear sigh. The ornate brass furniture is period correct. The Hickory ramrod has a flared bras tip. All screws are fire-blued.
